PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impact an SZ-shape without sharp curvature in inverted portions and corresponding to the required corrugated curve to a collective wire body. SOLUTION: This collective wire body 10, for example, is a communication cable of an optical cable type or an electric cable type formed by twisting plural element wires. In this case, an SZ-shape imparting part 12 is composed of an SZ-twisting head SZ-twisting the plural element wires of the communication cable. The SZ-twisting head rotates normally and in reverse around an axial line of the communication cable, to SZ-twist the element wires, by a rotary drive source 14 such as an SZ-shape imparting motor. The drive source 14 is driven by a drive circuit 15 which drives the drive source 14 at the prescribed speed in the prescribed directions by a drive signal Sd output from a drive control means 16. The drive control means 16 is equipped with a ratio processing part 18, an adjustable speed processing part 20, and a drive control processing part 22 receiving signals from the processing parts 18, 20 to generate the drive signal Sd for the drive source 14.
