PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame for home KOTATSU which can be manufactured easily at a low cost and, at the same time, can be carried, housed, and kept in a compact state by forming the top-face frame having corners to which legs are fitted in a polygonal shape and disassembling and assembling the frame at every side. SOLUTION: A frame for home KOTATSU is provided with a top-face frame 1 and a plurality of intermediate crosspiece 6 detachably attached to the inside of the frame 1 and the square top-face frame 1 having corners to which legs 2 are fitted is constituted in such a way that the frame 1 can be disassembled and assembled at every side. To be concrete, the frame 1 is composed of four bar members 3. Each bar member 3 is formed of a plastic and, in the middle section of the member 3, a pair of fitting sections 9 is provided for fitting the end sections of two intermediate corsspieces 6. In addition, the bar member 3 is provided with a male section 8a at one end and a female section 8b at the other end and is composed of a main body 4 and a lid body 5. The main body 4 is provided with a side section 7 composed of an outer wall, an inner wall, and a bottom wall and having a U-shaped cross section having an opening on the top side, the male section 8a provided at one end of the side section 7, and the female section 8b provided at the other end of the side section 7.
