PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module which has sufficient strength to the stresses in a twist direction, sufficiently relieves the stresses by the thermal expansion of a resin and is capable of preventing the misalignment of a fiber. SOLUTION: The end spherical fiber 12 of the semiconductor laser module having a laser diode 17 and the end spherical fiber 12 directly optically coupled to this laser diode 17 is fixed by a resin 14 into a sleeve 11 which is formed with slits 13 as a pair of two pieces opposed at an angle of 180 deg. in a circumferential direction and are arranged with the slits 13 adjacent in a longitudinal direction at an angle of 90 deg. with the circumferential direction.
