SUNLIGHT COLLECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sunlight collecting device of a low cost which is capable of efficiently introducing the sunlight into a room even if the altitude of the sun is low. SOLUTION: This device has a light collecting section 10 for capturing the sunlight and a light introducing duct 20 for introducing the incident sunlight on this light collecting section 10 into the room and is mounted in the opening 31 of an upper wall 30 of a house. The light collecting section 10 has a light collecting prism 12 which is arranged within a frame 11 with an inclination at a prescribed angle with a horizontal direction, a reflection louver 40 which is arranged right under the light collecting prism, a rotational drive assembly 14 which rotationally drives the light collecting prism 12 and the reflection louver 40 around the perpendicular axis and a controller 18 which controls this rotational drive assembly 14. The reflection louver 40 comprises 8 sheets of plane mirrors 41 of both side reflection. The reflection louver reflects the light emitted from the light collecting prism 12 and introduces the light to the inner side of the room.
