PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting whether or not image rotating processing can be executed by selecting whether or not image data are to be automatically rotated so as to match with the direction of paper, when the acquired direction of an original is different from the direction of paper to print image data. SOLUTION: Image data provided by reading the original through an image reading part 12 are temporarily stored in an image storage part 14, afterwards, processing required for image data is performed by an image processing part 15 and the image data are printed out of an image forming part 13. In addition, when the direction of the original read by the image reading part 12 is different from the designated direction of paper, for this image forming device 10, a user can set whether or not the image data provided by reading the original are to be automatically rotated by the image processing part 15. The setting of whether or not the image is to be automatically rotated is performed, by pressing an 'automatic image rotation' button in the state of displaying an image. When setting for the automatic rotation of the image, the 'to rotate automatically' button is pressed.
