PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the peeling in washing and cause no trouble in appearance even if no aluminum evaporation layer is provided by providing, on one side of a paper base material, a pre-coat layer mainly composed of either one of acrylic resin and nitrocellulose resin, a print layer and an overcoat layer. SOLUTION: This label is formed of a paper base material 10, and a pre-coat layer 12, an overall print layer 14, a pattern print layer 15 and an overcoat layer 16 successively provided on the paper base material 10. The pre-coat layer 12 is formed by applying a pre-coat agent mainly composed of a nitrocellulose resin or an acrylic resin, for example, in the range of 1-6 g/m2. When a nitrocellulose resin is used as the component of the pre-coat agent, a fatty acid ester such as phthalate, adipate or the like is mixed thereto, for example, in the range of 20-50 wt.%. When the acrylic resin is used, a composition mainly composed of methacrylate and containing acrylate or a composition mainly composed of styrene-acryl copolymer is adapted.
