PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for manufacturing the photographic silver halide emulsion capable of enhancing the homogeneity of silver halide grains contained in the silver halide emulsion. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the silver halide grains comprises a nucleating process and a ripening process, and in the nucleating process, an aqueous solution containing silver salts is directly mixed with an aqueous solution containing halogen salts to continuously form the silver halide nucleus emulsion and (1) after a necessary amount of the silver halide nucleus emulsion has been prepared, and (2) while a necessary amount of the formed silver halide nucleus emulsion is kept below a solubility in a nucleus forming process, a necessary amount of the silver halide unless emulsion is prepared, and the manufacturing method is characterized by collectively executing the ripening process.
