PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system constituted so that the adverse effect of a remote-control signal is surely prevented from being exerted on the other and a remote-control photographing action being excellent in responsiveness and quick photographing property can be executed. SOLUTION: This camera system is provided with a remote control device 10 transmitting the remote-control signal in response to the operation of a transmission switch 11 and a camera main body 1 executing a prescribed action by receiving the remote-control signal transmitted from the control device 11 by a receiving part 6. By the control device 10, the first remote-control signal is transmitted in response to one operation of the switch 11 and the second and subsequent remote-control signals are continuously transmitted after the first prescribed time elapses. By the main body 1, the prescribed action is started when it is recognized that the signal received by the receiving part 6 is the remote-control signal and the signal is not transmitted to the receiving means after the second prescribed time elapses.
