PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color slippage in a toner image in a plurality of colors on an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: The toner image in the separate colors, yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, formed on a photoreceptive drum 1 in order are superimposed on the intermediate transfer body 7 by primarily transferring them in order so as to correspond to one to four rotations of the intermediate transfer body 7. By abutting a transfer belt 8 on the intermediate transfer body 7, the toner images in the four colors are secondarily transferred to a transfer material P all at once. The transfer belt 8 is abutted on the body 7 when the second half portion of the black toner image is primarily transferred during the fourth rotation of the intermediate transfer body 7. The transfer belt 8 is separated from the body 7 during the fifth rotation of the intermediate transfer body 7 (before the start of the transfer of a yellow toner image, first color, to the following transfer-material). This makes it possible to eliminate color slippage in the first half portion of the yellow toner image, which has been occurred previously. |
