PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of depositing points of ink particles in an ink-jet method and to obtain a color filter for a display device having a sharp pixel form and sharp pixel edges, excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance and resolution and decreased reflectance by using a photosensitive color compsn. and nickel by electroless plating as the material of a matrix-type light-shielding layer. SOLUTION: An image accepting layer 3 is formed on a transparent substrate 2, and a matrix-type light-shielding layer 5 is formed thereon. A patterned color layer 4 of red R, green G and blue B colors is formed between the matrix- type light-shielding layers 5 on the image accepting layer 3 by an ink jet method. The material of the matrix-type light-shielding layer 5 consists of a photosensitive color compsn. and nickel by electroless plating. As the dyes used for the photosensitive color compsn., a mixture prepared by mixing yellow, blue and violet, or yellow, red and blue org. pigments to obtain a pseudo-black mixture and then further adding carbon black to the mixture is preferably used. |
