PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a thin and a fine display both in bright and dark surroundings. SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with a light source 9 having the first electrode for light source 13 formed on a principal plane of a counter substrate 3, an electric field light emitting layer 14 formed on the first electrode for light source 13 and emitting a light with application of a voltage and the second electrode for light source 15 formed on the electric field light emitting layer 14. Furthermore, at least one out of the first electrode for light source 13, the electric field light emitting layer 14 and the second electrode for light source 15 is patterned with a specified shape. |
