PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device having a surface acoustic wave element which suppresses the occupied area of a capacitive element small and is connected via a capacitive component of large capacity. SOLUTION: At least two surface acoustic wave elements A and B formed by coating and forming interdigital electrodes 2A and 3A consisting of a a pair of comb-shaped electrode fingers 51A and 52A are provided side by side on a piezoelectric substrate 1 so that the surface acoustic waves propagating direction is the same direction. In the elements A and B formed by being capacitively connected together via a coupling capacity C, the capacity C is arranged between the elements A and B, fingers 51A and 52A are meshed each other and a dielectric film 6 covers the fingers 51A and 52A.
