PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable modulation pulse signals to be finely and accurately controlled in amplitude so as to control a Q-switched pulse laser beam finely and accurately in peak power. SOLUTION: A non-inverting pulse amplifying circuit 50 is composed of an operational amplifier 42, an input resistor 44, a bias resistor 46, and a feedback resistor 48 all connected to the operational amplifier 42. A CdS resistive device 52 is included in the feedback resistor 48. The CdS resistive device 52 is optically coupled with a light emitting diode(LED) 60 to form a photocoupler. An optical output control circuit 62 is possessed of a differential amplifying circuit composed of the operational amplifier 64, the input resistor 44, and bias resistors 66 and 68 and a current booster 78 composed of a transistor 72 and resistors 74 and 76. A bias resistor 68 is formed of, for instance, a CdS resistive device and optically coupled with the LED 60 to form a photocoupler.
