PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a smooth deformation processing by multiplying an original curve component element by coordinate conversion matrix, based on a calculated moved amount, to obtain a converted curve. SOLUTION: A mobile point P5 and a mobile vector A are defined and a curve R, the point P5 and the vector A (dx, dy, dz) are used for the deformation processing. The curve R is converted into the least number of component elements at the passing point P5. The converted segments S1 and S2 are moved at the point P5 in the direction and by a distance which are defined by the vector A for every tangent, and the segments S1 and S2 are deformed like the segments S11 and S22. The information on each control point o converted segments S1 and S2 and segments S11 and S22 is generated from a coordinate conversion matrix. The information on the moved control points are reflected on the control points of segments R1 to R10 forming an original curve R by means of the coordinate conversion matrix. Thus, a new curve R' is generated while the connection state of the original curve is preserved. |
