PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify control and to inexpensively provide a circuit configuration for shade correction. SOLUTION: Shading data stored in a shading memory 1 are read out and converted to an analog signal VSD by a D/A converter 2, on the other hand, an input image signal VIN is sampled/held by a sample-and-hold circuit 3, that output VSH is applied to a divider 4, and dividing of VSD/VSH is performed by the divider 4. An output VSA=VSD/VSN of this divider 4 and the input image signal VIN are multiplied by a multiplier 5, this output (VSD/VSN).VIN and an offset control value VB outputted from a brightness level register 6 through a D/A converter 7 are added by an adder 8, and shade correction data are provided.
