PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check without consuming energy stored in a storage capacitor after charging by obtaining a capacity of the capacitor in a charging phase of the capacitor. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for inspecting to check a storage capacitor is a controller having a voltage source 2. The source 2 receives an input energy from a vehicle carrying power source, and charges an ignition capacitor 3 connected in parallel with the source 2 at a predetermined voltage. Thus, the source 2 is operated as a charge carrier source to the capacitor 3. The capacitor 3 is used as a storage capacitor. A charging resistor 4 is connected in series between the source 2 and the capacitor 3, The capacity of the capacitor 3 is checked by measuring a current or voltage and by using a software stored in a microprocessor of the apparatus 1.
