The invention relates to novel substituted N-aryl-phthalimides of general formula (I), wherein n represents the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, R<1> stands for hydrogen, nitro, cyano or halogen, R2 stands for hydroxy, nitro, cyano, carbamoyl, thiocarbamoyl, halogen or respectively for optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy, R3 stands for hydrogen or respectively, optionally substituted alkyl, alkylsulphonyl, alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl, arylalkylcarbonyl or aryloxyalkylcarbonyl, R4 stands for optionally substituted alkyl or aryl and X represents nitro, amino, halogen or respectively, optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy. The invention also relates to methods for the production thereof and to the use thereof as herbicides. |
