A resistance welding device, wherein, when a motor (30) installed on a column (28) of a resistance welding device (10) is rotated and a clutch part (35) of a clutch brake mechanism (32) is engaged, a cylindrical groove cam (54) is rotated and its rotating motion is converted to a linear motion by a follower (60), whereby a pressing mechanism (13) is lowered together with an upper welding electrode (12) and objects to be welded (146, 148) are held between a lower welding electrode (14) and the upper welding electrode (12), the upper resistance electrode (12) is displaced relative to a body (76) of the pressing mechanism (13) when the pressing mechanism (13) is displaced further, its pressing force (P) is detected by a strain gauge and, when the pressing force (P) becomes equal to a pressing force setting value (P1), a welding current flows from a welding power supply (20) so as to weld the objects to be welded (146, 148). |
