PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pattern reader which is adaptive to plural systems for scanning an optical pattern. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with means 10 to 12 which fetch the optical pattern, an optical pattern storage means 13 which stores the optical pattern fetched by the means 10 to 12, a means 15 which stores plural scanning patterns for scanning the optical pattern, a setting means 15a which selectively sets one of the scanning patterns stored in the storage means 15, and a means 14 which scans the optical pattern stored in the optical pattern storage means 13 according to the scanning pattern selected and set by the setting means 15a. |
