PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image defect caused by a remaining toner from occurring even for an image forming device having a fine rotation mode by rotating an intermediate transfer body as much as a prescribed amount when prescribed time elapses after an image forming action is finished and rotating it so that the specified position thereof is opposed to an image carrier when the image forming action is started. SOLUTION: The mode of a standby means is shifted to the fine rotation mode when two minutes elapse after the image forming action is finished. In the fine rotation mode, a photoreceptor drum 1 and the intermediate transfer body 5 are rotated together as much as 2 cm by circumferential length every two minutes, for example. Thus, since the identical parts of the drum 1 and the transfer body 5 are not brought into press-contact with each other in a standby state, the image defect caused by a press-contact state between the identical parts is prevented from occurring. By an image forming start means, the transfer body 5 is rotated so that the leading edge part of the image forming are thereof is opposed to the drum 1 when the image forming action is started. Thus, a primary transfer action is always executed in an image area when the image forming action is started. |
