PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat dissipating unit which is superior in mass production in which a large fin height can be readily ensured. SOLUTION: A plurality of trenches 11, 11, etc., are formed at a specified interval, in the upper surface of a bottom plate 10. End parts of a plurality of U-shaped fins 20, 20, etc., formed by bending a flat plate are inserted, respectively, into the trenches 11, 11, etc., and brazed thereto thus securing the U-shaped fins 20, 20, etc., in parallel onto the bottom plate 10. In place of the trenches 11, 11, etc., made in the upper surface of the bottom plate 10, a corrugated fin may be bonded onto the upper surface and the end parts of the U-shaped fins 20, 20, etc., may be inserted, respectively into the recesses of the corrugated fin.
