PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object discriminating device, its method and a medium recording an object discriminating program capable of correctly discriminating the relation between plural object data and objects. SOLUTION: In the case of generating a printing image by properly arranging different object pictures in a printing area, etc., a single object picture is sometimes generated while being divided into plural object data because of the convenience of the processing of a computer. In the case of requiring to discriminate the corresponding relation between each object data and object picture in a process after it, even if they are superposed on each other from information of the arranging area of each object data (step 210), various kinds of object information such as resolution, compression/non-compression and expanding/ retracting ratio, foreground and background are compared (step 212 to step 218) and a coincident object picture is not discriminated before the coincidence of all of the information. Thus, the object picture can correctly be discriminated.
