PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of shortening a time required for stabilizing the quantity of light of a lamp after being lit, and effective in stabilization of a performance of an analytical instrument. SOLUTION: In this light source device, a temperature sensor 5 is installed in a lamp house 3 of a lamp 1, and a control means for controlling the lamp house 3 as a prescribed temperature by controlling the number of revolution of a cooling fan 8 for cooling the lamp house 3 by air corresponding to an output of the temperature sensor 5 is installed, and the control means is made to have a function for controlling the cooling fan 8 in the suspended state or to have a small number of revolution until the temperature of the lamp house 3 reaches a prescribed temperature after lighting the lamp 1. Therefore, the lamp house 3 is made to reach a stable temperature in a short time, and the number of revolution of the cooling fan 8 is controlled, and the lamp house 3 is controlled at the prescribed temperature, thereby stabilizes the quantity of light of the lamp 1. |
