PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secondarily use received character broadcasting data in a character broadcasting receiver. SOLUTION: A reception circuit 10 receiving multiplex broadcasting and a decoder circuit taking out data on a character program from a multiplex signal which the reception circuit 10 receives are provided. An infrared ray emitting element 35 and an infrared receiving element 36 are provided. A prescribed protocol is executed and the infrared emitting element 35 and the infrared receiving element 36 transfer data taken out by the decoder circuit to an outer unit.
