PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic-head support mechanism whose shock resistance is enhanced by a method wherein the inflow end of a slider and the beam part of a suspension are connected by a slider-posture control mechanism which is composed of a flexible body and the large rotation of the slider on the basis of an external shock or the like is prevented. SOLUTION: A spring part 11, a beam part 12, flexible finger parts 13, a transverse frame 14 and a slider mounting part 15 are formed of one thin plate such as a stainless steel thin plate or the like. In the slider mounting part 15, windows 16 are formed between itself and the flexible finger parts 13, and a slider 4 is bonded to its rear surface. The pressure load of the slider 4 is generated due to the flexure of the spring part 11, and it is transmitted to the slider 4 via the beam part 12, the flexible finger parts 13, the transverse frame 14 and the mounting part 15. A slider-posture control mechanism 20 is installed at the upper part of the slider 4 on the side into which an air current generated due to the rotation of a disk flows. The slider-posture control mechanism 20 is formed of a polyimide in such a way that a derivation part 21, a bend part 22 and a beam bonding part 23 are integrated with the base of an FPC 30 for R/W signal transmission.
