PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper driving device which processes many coins per unit time. SOLUTION: This coin hopper driving device uses an inner rotor type brushless DC motor for a driving motor and further the magnetization of a permanent magnet of a rotor 8a polar has anisotropy. Then, the moment of inertia of a rotating part is reduced and the addition-subtraction speed time of the driving motor becomes short because of the configuration in which a back yoke is not needed. When stop time is still long, the stop time is reduced by operating a reversing brake or an electric brake short-circuiting a motor coil for a short time at the time of stop.
