PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control program reloading method or the like not to generate a cycle wait caused by division without providing a memory, which is not required for digital broadcast reception equipment excepting for the time of control program reloading. SOLUTION: Concerning the method for reloading a control program, which is used for the digital broadcast reception equipment at present, to a control program transmitted from a broadcasting station, this method is provided with an inhibition step for inhibiting the use of a memory for image decode to an image decoder, a reception step 91 for receiving the control program, storage steps S92, S11 and S12 for storing the control program received in the reception step into the memory for image decode, for which the use is inhibited to the image decoder in the inhibition step, a replacement step S13 for reloading the control program used at present to the control program stored in the memory for image decoding, and a permission step for permitting the use of the memory for image decoding to the image decoder.
