PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost on-vehicle running position display device which required no car-speed sensor. SOLUTION: A CPU 10 which is a control means reads a road map data including a current position calculated by a car position detecting means 10A from a CD-ROM 7 while obtains an overlook angle according to a kind of road from a road layer in the road map data, and a top-view converting means 10C converts the road map data into a top-view data, which is displayed on a liquid-crystal display 8A. An overlook angle or a spread angle may be changed according to the scale for a displayed road map instead of kind of road. Since no car speed sensor is used, a low-cost on-vehicle position display device is provided. |
