PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pick up an image little affected by a shadow and recognize easily and accurately a work region, by using transparent or semitransparent material for component carrying mechanism in a camera visual field. SOLUTION: Transparent material or semitransparent material, light emitting material, etc., are used in the whole part or a part of component carrying mechanism in a camera visual field, and difference of lightness from a work is increased. Thereby large difference between the luminance value of a work region and the luminance value of a peripheral part of the work is generated on an image, and the work region become clear. That is, the work is supplied to an index table notched part by a parts feeder and a rectilinear travel feeder, and carried to a visual inspection area A by intermittent movement of the index table, which is made by using semitransparent plastic composed of, e.g. polycarbonate. An image of the work is picked up from above with a camera (a), and processed with image processing equipment. |
