摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read device with no optical crosstalk while excellent in definition by constituting a sensor substrate of a material that absorbs the light entering the sensor substrate. SOLUTION: An image read device for an X-ray image pickup device, for example, is provided with a sensor substrate 101 where an optical sensor S and a thin-film transistor T, etc., are formed. An X-ray X is detected by the combination of a fluorescent screen 110 and the optical sensor S. The X-ray X incident on the fluorescent screen 110 from the outside is converted here to the light in a wavelength band that is detected by the optical sensor S, and then converted into an optical current in the optical sensor. Here, a material which absorbs an in-coming light is used as the sensor substrate 101. Thus, the light incident on the sensor substrate is absorbed into the substrate before reaching an interface (the interface between a substrate rear-surface and the air), causing no reflection at the interface. So degradation in definition at an image read device due to a stray light caused by reflection at the interface is prevented.
