PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing appearance designing method precisely meeting the diverse needs of users. SOLUTION: A housing appearance design taste map 10 is formed as a map that displays, on coordinates with an abscissa 12 showing the degree of fashionableness and with an ordinate 14 showing the degree of decorativeness, the tendencies to like or dislike the designs of housing appearances, while classifying them into six kinds of tastes defined on the basis of the degrees of fashionableness and decorativeness. Thus, housing appearances precisely meeting the diverse needs of users can be designed with the use of the map 10.
