PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of securing, using simple constitution, its cleaning performance that is stable over a long period. SOLUTION: In a cleaning device for removing a toner from an image carrier, having a cleaning blade, a brush roller arranged upstream of the cleaning blade to abut against the image carrier, a scraper sheet (flexible sheet) 61 made to abut against the brush roller to remove the toner from the brush roller, and a housing 62 in which the scraper sheet 61 is positioned at the axial center of the brush roller, the housing 62 is provided with a scraper holding face 62a for securely holding the scraper sheet 61, a brush axis locking face 62b for positioning the brush roller at its axial center, and a connecting face 62c serving as a third face connected to the scraper holding face 62a and the brush axis locking face 62b.
