PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative escape wheel for a watch, in which the rotational speed of an escape wheel can be changed freely. SOLUTION: An escape wheel 2 is turned when a pallet fork 14 whose center of gravity is situated in the upper part from its fulcrum is rocked. Since the center of gravity of the pallet fork 14 is situated in the upper part from the fulcrum, the pallet fork 14 is not rocked by itself at its natural frequency, and it is turned only when the center of gravity is passed through the fulcrum by a driving device. As a result, the rocking cycle of the pallet fork 14 can be controlled by the magnetic action of the driving device.
