PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover gas system of an FBR which can reduce activated sodium vapor taken out of reactor vessel, reduce blocking accidents and has high reliability. SOLUTION: A mist separator 20 is installed in a reactor vessel 1 in the front step of introducing Ar gas existing in the cover gas region 2 in the reactor vessel 1, the mist separator 20 is cooled by the cooled cover gas from the cover gas system and sodium mist in the cover gas region 2 is condensed by a cooling fan and the like exposed into the cover gas region 2, dropped and returned to the reactor vessel 1. Coagulation of the condensed sodium mist adhering to the mist separator 20 is suppressed by the heat in the reactor vessel 1, self- recovery function of the mist separator 20 is promoted, and the blocking accidents of the cover gas system are automatically eliminated so that the reliability of the cover gas system is improved.
