PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reply a 'not-at-desk' message by automatically understanding an at-desk/not-at-desk state of a called party and to allow a caller to easily recognize the at-desk/not-at-desk of a recipient at a low cost. SOLUTION: This attendance management system is provided with a processing means 101 that monitors an input from a camera 110, a processing means 102 that discriminates at-desk/not-at-desk based on the input from the camera, and a processing means 103 that revises a telephone reply according to the at-desk/not-at-desk and also with a processing means 104 that describes at-desk/not-at-desk information to a specific Web server depending on the at- desk/not-at-desk.
