PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability and reliability of an actuation controller by detecting the current flowing to a motor and the position of a rod, and controlling at least either one of the current flowing to the motor or conduction to the motor in accordance with the detected values. SOLUTION: When an excessive load is applied to a motor before the drive of a vehicle is changed to four-wheel drive from two-wheel drive, a control mechanism 7 detects that a fork shaft(FS) 3 is not at the position of four-wheel drive by means of a position switch(PS) 6 and, when an excessive current flows to the motor, limits the current so that the current may be fixed. When the mechanism 7 receives a signal indicating the completion of the drive switching to the four-wheel drive and the current flowing to the motor detected by means of an ammeter 5 becomes a prescribed value Id or smaller, the mechanism 7 stops the current control and conducts the motor with the current which is obtained by switching the conduction to the motor to 100% duty conduction. When an excessive load is again applied to the motor after the PS6 detects the switching of the drive to the four-wheel drive, the FS3 comes into contact with a stopper to stop the conduction to the motor.
