PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium and an information recording/reproducing device wherein a track pitch of a data track is narrowed by reducing a length in the right angle direction of a magnetic head. SOLUTION: A disk-shaped recording medium 20 is provided with plural data tracks 21-27 prolonging in parallel to a running direction U and respectively having plural data blocks and servo bursts 31-34 arranged between the data blocks. Respective servo bursts consist of a recessed shape or a projected shape of a magnetic layer, and its width in the running direction U is the widest in its center and becomes gradually thinner toward both ends viewing from the radial direction R orthogonal intersecting with the running direction. Thus, a so-called insensitive band occurrence is eliminated even when the magnetic head of the short length in the radial direction R is used.
