PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid sample cooling device for an analytical device, capable of rapid cooling without the occurrence of temperature irregularities, and requiring little energy consumption. SOLUTION: This sample cooling device, for storing sample containers 4 housing a sample and mounted on a rack 1, in a thermostatic bath 10 and for cooling it to a room temperature or less, is equipped with a first temperature adjusting mechanism 30 composed by being equipped with a cooler (Peltier element 31) for adjusting the inner space of the thermostatic bath 10 at a prescribed temperature and temperature adjusters 34, 35, 36, a second temperature adjusting mechanism 20 composed by being equipped with a cooler (Peltier element 21) for adjusting temperatures of the sample containers 4 through heat transfer members (including the rack 1) and temperature adjusters 24, 25, and a temperature sensor 29 for detecting an air temperature in the thermostatic bath 10, and a target value of temperature control of the second temperature adjusting mechanism 20 is set based on a value of the air temperature in the bath 10 detected by the temperature sensor 29.
