PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a humidifier easy to be cleaned even in the case that a scale component is adhered and having good heating efficiency of a heating tank by mounting one of a first heat shield and a second heat shield in a recess part. SOLUTION: Water in a water supply tank 5 is run down from a boss 5a of a tank receiver, and introduced into a water tank 2. The water in the tank 2 is supplied to a heating tank 3 via a fourth opening 7a between a recess 4a provided at a passage 4 and a first heat shield 7 and a fifth opening 8a of a second heat shield 8. The water input to the tank 3 is heated by a sheathed heater, boiled to become steam, and the steam is stored in a steam case 10. An air flow by a supply fan 13 in a humidifier body 1 is fed between the case 10 and a heat shield case 11, input from an air port 10a provided at the side of a lower side of the case 10 into the case 10, and the steam in the case 10 is conveyed from a discharge port 12a of an upper part of the case 10 out of the body 1.
