1,024,887. Swimming pools. VEREINIGTE METALLWERKE RANSHOFEN - BERNDORF A.G. Dec. 20, 1963 [Dec. 21, 1962], No. 50464/63. Heading A4N. The upper edge of a metal swimming pool is strengthened by welding separate sections of a box 11 or lattice girder thereto. Then ends of the girder sections are spaced to allow for thermal expansion. The sheet metal walls 7 are corrugated at least in the region of the expansion gap and the end walls may be covered with a plane metal sheet. During construction the girders 11, supported by pillars 13 and buttresses 14, have the side walls 7 welded thereto. In another form (Figs. 1-3, not shown), lattice girders are welded to the side wall and covered by a paved walkway. The pool may be made of aluminium. |
