PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a new forming method of images at a low cost which improves handling property and which does not require liquid development, by using an image forming layer in which the energy-given region where energy is added according to an image is changed into hydrophobic. SOLUTION: When energy is added to the image forming layer according to an image, the phenomenon that the layer is perforated and that metal fine particles in the layer are fused by irradiation of the energy is caused, and a metal film (metal mirror) is formed on the surface of the energy-given region. Therefore, the region shows hydrophobicity, and as a result, the region has ink-accepting property. Since the energy-given region having the metal film has a metal mirror, further addition of a visualizing agent to the image forming layer is not necessary. As for the hydrophilic binder (hydrophilic resin) used for the image forming layer, for example, polyvinylalcohol, polyvinylacetal, polysaccharide, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol, gelatin, gelatin deriv. or the like can be used. |
