摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress product unit requirement without lowering quality of a metal material such as billet or the like by directly heating the metal material to a temperature as high as possible by a combustion gas of a burner furnace without producing oxidation scales and performing induction heating in succession to a specified temperature by an induction heating furnace. SOLUTION: Each billet B is uniformly heated to a specified temperature (e.g. 750-950 deg.C) by a combustion gas of a burner furnace 2 while the billet is passing through the burner furnace 2. The billet B pushed out on a billet traverse transfer conveyor 34 from a billet transfer rail 12 of the burner furnace 2 is traversely transferred by the billet traverse transfer conveyor 34 and is pushed into an interior of an induction heating furnace 4 by a pusher when the billet arrives in front of the billet transfer rail 35 of the induction heating furnace 4. Then, the billet is induction-heated to a specified temperature (e.g. 1,250 deg.C) while passing through the induction heating furnace 4. The billet B discharged from the induction heating furnace 4 is supplied to a forging machine by a billet delivery conveyor 38.
