COMMUNICATION CARD CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an ATM communication card so as to allow a plurality of application programs to conduct ATM communication even when an OS of a personal computer with the ATM communication card mounted thereon has no function of assigning an ATM communication channel to each applica tion. SOLUTION: An ATM communication channel is assigned to each application (S101), ATM communication channel information denoting to which communication channel is assigned to each application is generated and stored (steps S102-S105) and an ATM communication card is controlled so as to allow a plurality of application programs to conduct ATM communication based on the information (steps S106-S108).
