A portable changeable message sign (20) utilizing changeable pixels for display of a message has a sheet of flexible transparent plastic (58) extending over the sign face (36) for protection thereof. Said flexible plastic sheet (58) may be a single or multiple layers and may have opaque portions formed such as by silk screening to minimize reflective glare. The flexible plastic sheet (58) may be attached by way of a pressure sensitive adhesive on one side of the sheet, by way of a clamping means extending around the periphery of the sign face (36), or by heat shrinking or by static attraction. |
