Sections of piping (2) are linked by end flanges (6) which are bolted (7) together. Fluid which leaks from the junction between the flanges drips into a tray (8) which is part of a collection device (1). The device is attached by ear plates (16) retained by nuts and bolts which pass through the flanges. The tray has an overflow vent (14) and a drain (12). The fluid can be drained off via a tap (13) for measurement and analysis.
