<p>An improved dust ruffle or fabric skirt design (21) is provided, which is readily placeable about and removable from a bed (11) or other furniture structure in the home. The skirt (21) comprises an elongated fabric sleeve (22) having a first end (24) and a second end (26) and includes an outer fabric wall (41) and an inner fabric wall (39). The fabric walls (41, 39) define an elongated passage (40) in which an elongated elastic tape member (29) is received intermediate the two walls (41, 39). The tape member (29) is elasticized in order to provide, when stretched or placed around a box spring or other structure, an inwardly directed force against the inner fabric wall (39). This will fix the dust ruffle (21) in place upon a bedding assembly, a furniture piece, or some other home fixture. The tape member (29) may be removed from the passageway (40) of the fabric sleeve (22) before washing or laundering the skirt or dust ruffle (21).</p> |
