Each transmitter (30a-30n) has a multicarrier generator (32a-32n) and a delay stage (31a-31n) with a delay time specific to the transmitter. A delayed multicarrier signal is detected at the multicarrier generator's output. The transmitter's input signal creates a reference signal made up of a series of synchronisation symbols like zero symbols contained in the delayed multicarrier signal and the detected multicarrier signal.
