Substances containing coupling isomerized highly unsaturated fatty acids and/or derivatives thereof which have a function of specifically promoting the uncoupling respiration of mitochondria (MC) and proton leak in the MC membrane in cells of major nonshivering thermogenesis (nST)-producing tissues, skeletal muscle, white adipose tissue (WAT), brown adipose tissue (BAT), etc. of mammals including humans and birds; antiobese (inhibiting the accumulation of visceral fat (in particular, mesenteric fat))/visceral (in particular, mesenteric) fat-reducing agents containing the above substances as the active ingredient; foods having antiobese (inhibiting the accumulation of visceral fat (in particular, mesenteric fat))/visceral (in particular, mesenteric) fat-reducing functions which contain the above substances as the active ingredient; and feeds having antiobese (inhibiting the accumulation of visceral fat (in particular, mesenteric fat))/visceral (in particular, mesenteric) fat-reducing functions which contain the above substances as the active ingredient.
