A norbornene copolymer produced by ring-opening polymerization which comprises repeating units [A] and [B] derived from at least two norbornene compounds containing no substituents and repeating units [C] derived from a norbornene compound which is composed of at least four rings and has at least one C1-4 substituent; and a process for producing the copolymer.
