An assembly positions a label holder in a labelling magazine. The magazine holds a charge of pre-cut labels presented in a uniform direction. The magazine is open at one end, and has a series of fingers down one side which retain the labels. The fingers have slide runners and their position is adjustable by means of a detachable mechanism on the magazine.
